Another beautiful day in Murwillimbah. The Battle of the Border has been blessed with the perfect weekend for cycle racing. Lots of inspired efforts across the grades. The speed of the NRS boys on road bikes on the time trial was a sight to behold.
The women’s NRS put on another strong performance in the TT with plenty of weaponry on show. The NRS criteriums were unfortunately curbed by a nasty crash at the end of the women’s race.
Cobra9 had a mixed day with a strong showing by Rupert in the time trial on a standard road bike. Matt had a good day in both the time trial and criterium getting heavily involved in both. The rest of us were happy to finish strongly and unscathed after last years hiccups.
Today marks the last day with a tough ride up over the ranges before a rapid rip back into salt village Kingscliffe. The whole team is looking forward to a cold beer and getting back to our families who put up with so from us while we indulge our cycling fantasies.
