The busy nature of Cobra9 incorporates vast tracks of time spent in airports and on planes. Today was one of those days where it just doesn’t work out. Yesterdays stress sorting out a few kinks in the website was compounded by a day spent in Sydney airport cooling my heels. Sorry to all those clients […] Read More
Only 3 weeks until Battle of the Border and training is intensifying. The boys from Cobra9 are excited about the adrenaline rush that comes with three days of racing. My goal is to spend more time in the bunch rather then the grupetto. The way the legs felt this morning – unlikely! The new kit […] Read More
Happy Easter riding. Back in Noosa for some sunny days and morning coffee. Enjoy the chocolate carb loading!
You know you have been for an early ride when it’s still dark when you get home. Such is life balancing work, family and training for the upcoming Battle of the Border. Cobra9 will be participating and hopefully competing occasionally at this years event after enjoying the experience last year. Feel free to catch up […] Read More
The weather is changing and the leg warmers are out in force. The new kit range arrives in April which will be something to look forward to for all those who have pre ordered. A few big changes are in the pipeline over the next few months. These include the introduction of the semi pro […] Read More
Another weekend flying around Australia casting cyclists. It’s strange how I never cease enjoying meeting new eager cyclists. I look forward to meeting a few more in Sydney tomorrow. A new kit order will soon be underway with a slightly modified outfit now Ispahan Podiatry has added their brand to the kit. All cobra9 cyclists […] Read More
Mt Mee in 100% humidity. Nice way to prepare for Mt Wellington this Sunday. Remember, we will be casting in Sydney this weekend. See you there.
I was able to get up close and personal with Brisbane’s roads again yesterday. A little too intimate really. After another sensational zupps ride, I found myself chewing the pavement on the way home after riding blindly into the biggest @&$$ing hole near Sandgate. It was a good lesson to pay attention on roads after […] Read More
Back in Brisbane and it’s more of the same. Wet weather riding with soaked socks and squelshy feet. Casting tomorrow. Let us know ASAP if your getting involved.
Training on Mt Wellington in summer. 2 degrees with wind chill. Bring on Brisbane this weekend. Spots still available. Contact us for a piece of the action.
Coffee and sweat. Only cyclists would ride in 100% humidity for a few hours then suck down a coffee for refreshment. Never mind that your already dangerously dehydrated or that all you can taste is saline from your top lip. Coffee it is. I get the feeling if your ordered an iced coffee you might […] Read More
Hot. Adelaide is hot. Nothing like riding back to your hotel after a stage in a heat induced coma. Thank God for powerade and cold beer! There is no question that this event is epic. I challenge any cyclist not to get those ‘good sensations’ just seeing all the bike bags piled up at domestic […] Read More
It’s official. Cobra9 is coming to the tour down under. We will be holding a few sessions whilst watching the best in the business. Should also be plenty of time to sneak a few rides in as well. Maybe even a few big bold syrah as well. We will also be holding a session at […] Read More
Summer has arrived and it’s time to get a few decent rides in. Yesterday was a cruise from Brisbane to Noosa. The route through the glasshouse mountains makes for some picturesque scenery. Breakfast at Sweethearts Cafe at Eudlo is highly recommended. French Toast comes in handy before taking on the infamous Restaurant Hill.
Sunday coffee in Brisbane at the The Chelsea. Need to reduce weekend wine consumption to improve performance. Dates for 2012 casts soon.
